Getting Past .mpg Files

I found a way to view .mpg files without causing the video to lag.  I found a different media player in the app store called MPlayerX.  It can play both .mpg and .mov files.  It's free to download last time I checked.  It plays the video files without a problem and in their original quality.  I've tried it several time on my computer at home and so far it's given me no trouble what so ever.  I don't know if it can be used to view animation files because I haven't tried that yet.  I also use this media player to help me upload videos to YouTube or other video sites that I have accounts on.
