Article Response: Did Disney Steal this Alice in Wonderland image?
*What I didn't know: That Disney had supposedly stolen someone else's art work about Alice in Wonderland and used it as a design on a bag and t-shirt line. *What I like about this article: That not even Disney is immune to copyright claims. Even though I'm not one hundred percent sure what the artists is true it's still a good example of copyright law. The person who originally made the piece of art work didn't license it though so I don't really know if they will get anything out of this arrangement. The artist had tried to contact Disney after their claim and Disney didn't answer the call. *What I agree with: That Disney should have contacted the artist before using their work as a design. Artists now a days are at risk because people copy their work everyday and then sell it as some design for companies with deep pockets. *What frustrated me: That people would stoop so low as to steal someone else's work.
