Article Response: Dungeons and Dragons
What I didn't know: That D&D had a T.V. series and that it had been accused of promoting satanic worship. What I found interesting: That it has the potential to become as popular as the new Lord Of The Rings movie. That more than 20 million people play it and it's owners have have made $1,000,000,000 in revenue. I know that playing role playing games seems kind of nerdy, but I have actually played some role playing games and they're a lot of fun once you get into them. I also know some people who play games similar to D&D and they're actually cool people. Even though a lot of people play the game, it's still considered a subculture compared to superheroes and zombies. What I agree with: Even though D&D may not promote satanic activity, there still remains a feeling of cultural isolation. People usually speculate that D&D players are lonely fat kids who play in their parents basements. Thats like saying only guys like video games. Not all D&D players are fat and lonely.
