1. Do something else.
If you're having trouble with certain projects sometimes it's good to stop and go do something else for a while.
2. The 5 W's (Who, What, When, Where, Why).
In my introduction to 2D class my instructor said that if you're not having any luck thinking of a good idea or story, then write down a bunch of random words or sentences, then put them all into a hat and draw at least 5 of them out and write, draw, or animate whatever random story you drew.
3. Ask for help.
Don't be afraid to ask your fellow students or your instructor for new ideas or for different opinions. It's always good to get a second opinion.
4. Relax and think calmly.
The title here is pretty self explanatory. It's always good to relax every once in a while instead of trying to all your work in one day.
