*What I learned this week: 1) I learned how to create fire in After Effects using a tutorial I found online. If you play with fire you'll get burned. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=UuEuv8pQVrI#at=593). If you do create a fire in after effects it takes a while for it to render. 2) I learned how to use particle systems properly. **What frustrated me: 1) After Effects crashed on me a couple of times and I had forgotten to save my work. 2) Same goes for Premiere. As I was working on my final project it froze and quit out of the program. ***What made me happy: I decided to try out a game design software called Unity 3D. The graphics are high quality and it comes in two versions, the free version or the one of the newer versions Unity Pro, which costs $1,500 (Must be pretty good for it to cost that much.) For those who don't know, Parsec Productions used this program to make the game Slender: The Eight Pages.
Link of interest: I found a ton of cool animated shorts. One of them was called "Tar Boy." It's pretty self explanatory. The short is about how a character named "Tar Boy" rose up against big business owners. The twist is that every character is a robot.
