Updates

This semester has been hectic, but it’s my last semester and I’ll have my bachelors degree in fine arts soon!  I’ve made so many things this semester.  I was contemplating adding individual posts for each project, but I think it would be better to include them in one post.  I’ve made a lot of paintings and a couple of short animated projects.  I’ll post the animated ones once they’re all uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo.

Also I’m going to redo an old project of mine.  My goal is to see how much I’ve improved over the years.  I was thinking about redoing my really old Skullcrusher Mountain project.

Animatic WIP

Junior Group Shots

These are my shots from the junior group film.  These are all on my YouTube channel.  I'll post the final project once we finish finalizing it.

Junior Senior Film Screening

My first group film will be shown on May 7th at the North Park Theatre.  Reception starts at 10:00 am.  I will post links to the film.  I am so happy this film turned out well.  Everyone in the group worked their hardest and we all finished on time.  Admission is free to get in.

More updates will come later.  I'll post links to the films animatic and the final.

Toon Boom Users Manual for Beginners

Animatic Rough Cut

I'm animating my animatic for my sophomore film in college.  I posted it on YouTube and I would like to know what everyone thinks of it.  Only certain parts are animated and there isn't any sound, but then again it is a rough cut which means it's a work in progress.  Any feedback is welcome.  I'm using Toon Boom Harmony to animate it.

New Blog :)

I've started developing my first major animated short.  I've created a new blog for it if anyone wants to follow it.  So far there's only one thing up on it.  I will be posting progress reports on my animated short there.

My Latest Creation :)

I created this using Photoshop and After Effects :).  It's about werewolves.  I came up with the idea for this around Halloween and I finished the project yesterday.  Take a look :)

This is a perfect example of an animated music video.  The song is called Ghost.  Mrs.  Licata should show this as an example to her students.

Sophomore Film

Gotta finish this story board.  These are only the first 3 drawings.  There are a total of 18 all together.  This is supposed to be a part of my sophomore film.  It's gone be very rewarding once I start to animate this.

New Hobbies

I've recently learned how to sew, both by hand and machine.  I've decided to start making some cool costumes.  I'm also really into cosplay so I'm basically going to try and recreate the outfits that my favorite fictional characters wear.  So far I've only made gloves and vambraces.  Now I have enough material to start cutting and sewing for much bigger parts of each outfit.

This is one of the characters I plan to cosplay as.  It's a character from the new game Destiny.

Still in use

It's been a while since I've posted anything here.  Anyways, I'm currently waiting for school to start again.  I'll be going into my second year of college.  My major is still animation and I really like my classes and professors.  If anyone still reads these updates I hope you're lives are good as well.  I still like to post things once in a while.  If anyone wants to see my stuff I post pictures of them on my portfolio website.  This is a really short update.

How to Train Your Dragon 2!!!!

They've decided to make a sequel to How to Train You Dragon.  I found out about this while I was watching tv one night.  When I saw it I was struck with excitement.  From looking at the trailer alone I can tell that they changed the original style just a bit.  The characters look older and more mature.  The look of everything else, the environments and the dragons, has been changed just like the characters have in the sense that the dragons look older as well.  The story behind it involves a very important person from Hiccup's past.  Watch the trailer to see more.
